Agrobiotechnology Talk Series (35) Bridging the Gap: Sustainable Synergy Between Vertical and Outdoor Farming
Description:
Misconceptions and misunderstandings surrounding vertical farming abound. Many have viewed it as the exclusive future of agriculture, leading to a surge in attention and investments in recent years. Regrettably, much of this enthusiasm was fueled by hype and unrealistic expectations. As the bubble deflates rapidly, it’s imperative to reassess the role of vertical farming (VF) and how its technology and knowledge can be shared with outdoor and greenhouse growers, fostering a mutually beneficial approach. Conversely, it’s equally essential to explore how the expertise gained from outdoor farming can be applied to enhance indoor farming practices.
Speaker: Ray Lok, Founder of Full Nature Farms (FNF), is an agricultural innovator dedicated to sustainable farming practices. Under his guidance, FNF has pioneered advanced technologies in vertical farming and eco-friendly agriculture. The company, FNF, excels in producing high-quality, environmentally conscious produce, while continuously exploring new projects to expand agricultural possibilities and address societal needs.
