It then focuses on a few emerging pollutants in the agricultural field, including mercury and microplastics, and goes over factors increasing the exposure of crop to these chemicals, as well as provide an estimation of risk to our health due to the food consumption. Finally, a few remediation approaches are introduced and discussed.
